THE BEER GEEK AWARDS CLOSE TOMORROW!

All good things come to an end, and following a week-long extension of our 2018 Beer Geek Awards we are calling a close to entries tomorrow – Wednesday 27th June. That means you have twenty-four hours to select that amazing image, filter through your blog history or ransack those memory banks to sit our Beer Scholar Geek beer quiz. Entering the Awards is well worth your time, as we have a series of truly incredible prizes on offer.

Like a five-day paid trip to the best beer destinations on earth – Belgium or San Diego.

Yes, we have dialled in a number of truly epic prizes for those in the UK/Europe and the USA who top out any of the six remaining categories. You can enter as many as you wish by heading to TheBeerGeekAwards.com and signing up. All we ask is that you are over 18 and your main source of income does not already come from the beer industry. So what exactly are we offering to those who become champion beer geeks?

We will crown one winner from each category, as well as an overall winner across both the UK/Europe and the United Sates. Category winners this side of the pond will get to pack their bags and head off to the incredible city of Barcelona where they will find waiting for them tickets to attend the epic MASH Festival.

If you are in the USA you can also enter any (or as many) of the categories as you like, and if you come out on top in any of them you’ll be heading to an awesome festival of your own – the world-renowned Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. Last year, we were hugely proud to win a GABF medal for our Ohio-brewed BrewDog Elvis Juice – if we repeat, you may get a chance to witness it!

All category winners will be invited to a rocking Beer Geek Awards final to receive a trophy, with two live finals set to take place – one in London, and another in Columbus, Ohio. The seven category winners will then be re-judged by our panel of industry experts to determine an overall country winner. The UK/Europe champ will – in addition to their upcoming Spanish trip – head off to the epicentre of West Coast IPA, San Diego.

The overall victor of the US contest, crowned in Columbus, will be heading the other way on the trip of a lifetime – the country where beer is a way of life; Belgium. Each of these holidays are for two people over five days and we will get in touch with breweries in both destinations to make that trip even more memorable. Our judges aren’t done there. The final task is to pick between the European winner and the American winner. Whichever of the two people it is who embraces craft beer culture the most, or in the most unique way, will also secure for themselves an additional $1,000/€1,000. And that prize is alongside the San Diego/Belgium holiday, the Barcelona/Denver holiday, and the Beer Geek Awards trophy!

We believe the love of great beer comes irrespective of where you live, hence this series of amazing prizes.
