COMING SOON: BREWDOG AUSTRALIA

COMING SOON: BREWDOG AUSTRALIA

Back in April, James and Martin made a series of announcements from the stage of the AECC in Aberdeen as part of their #PunkAGM2017 business update. All of them – and every one of our plans for the rest of the year – are built on a single foundation. We live or die by the quality of the beer in your glass. And in a week when Ohio-brewed Punk IPA hits the taps of craft beer bars in the US, we have another huge announcement relating to super-fresh BrewDog craft beer.

People of Australia – we are heading down under to build a brewery for you.

This is more than a statement of intent; it is a promise. Just as our US Equity Punk community are now enjoying home-brewed BrewDog beer, our Australian shareholders and customers will be able to do the same. We are committed to shortening the distance between ourselves and the people who enjoy our beer – and if that distance happens to be ten thousand miles? No worries.

We are now looking for the perfect site for BrewDog Australia – and you can help.

We’re after a kick-ass location for our brewhouse, and are narrowing our eyes on two areas on the east coast growing at lightning speed – Newcastle and Brisbane. We love the vibe of these cities and think either would be perfect for a BrewDog brewery/brewpub. If you know of somewhere suitable we can rock up to in these areas – or elsewhere in Australia – then we have the perfect person for you to get in touch with!

We’re hugely excited to welcome Zarah Prior back into the BrewDog family to spearhead our exploration of her home country. She will be hitting the streets of her native Oz in search of our new home, so before she checked in for that day-long flight we caught up with her in Ellon to get the lowdown on possible sites we are considering for BrewDog Australia. If you know of somewhere that fits the bill below – drop her an email on zarah@brewdog.com!

- An existing industrial site to redevelop with a built up facility of 2,000 - 4,000m²

- Or, a plot of land able to accommodate a build of that size with room for expansion

- A location with a great local community actively promoting urban renewal

- Councils or local authorities looking for new investment in their area

- Something unique that will make our brewery and taproom truly awesome!

If you can see yourself being neighbours with our amazing team at BrewDog Australia HQ – then put together the details on the specifics and fire an email through to Zarah. It could be the most important click of the mouse you ever make!

Building a brewery in Australia is a huge undertaking for us, but we love the passion of the people there and want nothing more than to reward them for looking out for us from the other side of the world. Super-fresh BrewDog beer brewed in their backyard.

Australia – where should we pitch up?

It's Brisbane all the way! We love our craft beer ???? almost as much as we love our warm and sunny weather.
Digger 18.08.2017 @ 12:15am
Melbourne would have been the obvious choice I would've thought - being the centre of good beer in Australia.

Ahh well, nice to see it's finally happening.
Allan 17.08.2017 @ 10:24pm
Business wise your best bet is probably still the Craft capital of Australia, Melbourne.

Rated the worlds most liveable city, 2nd largest city in Australia and tipped to be the largest. Downside there are quite a few breweries and a lot of craft pubs.

Home of good beer week.
Lisa HG 17.08.2017 @ 2:01pm
Currently sat in Brewdog Soho before emigrating to Brisbane. Just looked to see if there any branches in Oz......Definitely choose Brisbane Vegas for your bar!! ????
Anna 17.08.2017 @ 1:59pm
I can't help with a location suggestion but make sure you set up in Brissy!!!!
Tim 12.08.2017 @ 10:32am
+1 for Stones Corner in Brissy!
Kristian 12.08.2017 @ 10:32am
Stones Corner! lots of suitable sites, close to city/transport, up and coming foodie/bar precinct with the target crowd.
Liz 10.08.2017 @ 9:48am
Please for the love of God set up shop in BrisVegas. Take over XXXX in the heart of town or use some of the industrial land up in Northlakes.
Kym 10.08.2017 @ 5:21am
Consider Adelaide. Already has the best craft brewers following in Australia.
Joan 09.08.2017 @ 5:24pm
Any chances to settle in Perth?
Chad 08.08.2017 @ 4:38am
This little block of land looks perfect in Newcastle!

Jim Plouffe 03.08.2017 @ 9:35am
It's gotta be Adelaide. You're right in the middle of all the action, literally. Ship anywhere in Australia, rent is cheaper, and South Australians know and appreciate quality.
Danger Dave 03.08.2017 @ 9:29am
RADelaide is your place guys!!! We're so dedicated to the cause down here that somebody has even set up a Facebook page and hashtag! If that's not convincing I don't know what is! #BrewDog2Adelaide
FiFi 03.08.2017 @ 8:00am
If you're serious about urban renewal, get in contact with Renewal SA. You never know what the state govt might be offering in the way of incentives.
Hans 03.08.2017 @ 4:39am
Nowhere else is better than the wine and craft beer capital of Australia! Adelaide!
Coco 03.08.2017 @ 1:39am
Adelaide - of course! I'd never consider settling anywhere else in Australia - SA is the best place to live in, have a beer on one of the awesome city beaches on a Thursday night after work, or at a friend's garden on a sunny Sunday afternoon :)
Jamie 03.08.2017 @ 12:57am
Plonk it in or near to Brisbane's old Boggo Road Gaol. Got a lot urban renewal happening around there now with major residential/commercial development, and is close to a big University and not that from the CBD or Gabba sports ground.
Pete 01.08.2017 @ 1:22pm
Surely Adelaide is an option considering our food/wine/beer/spirits credentials. We love it here, it runs through our blood. The Beer and BBQ festival was just on this month and was a crackling success.
Nick 01.08.2017 @ 6:05am
Would be great to see you as part of the Adelaide craft beer scene! A new beginning for one of the original wool stores or manufacturing buildings at the Port would be great!!!
Zguvnah 01.08.2017 @ 5:20am
Adelaide is the city and Port Adelaide is the location. Brisbane doesn't know how to spell beer (xxxx) let alone craft beer. Newcastle is getting there, but a lack of character buildings to establish yourself. Be by the water in a developing old industrial location and watch the fusty mouthed locals guzzle your brew.
Hayley 01.08.2017 @ 4:18am
Punks! Bring you’re a-game to A-town Adelaide!

We must be doing something right in Adelaide! We’re clocking up the accolades when it comes to the Alcohol game! There’s something in our waters….
1) World’s BEST GIN – 78 Degrees
2) Prancing Pony wins top international award
3) Wheatsheaf Hotel’s Wheaty Brewing Corps named Australia’s best small brewery at the national Craft Beer Awards
4) Wine - no explanation needed...I mean really!!
We want you here, the craft brewing scene want you here! We’re got the best in the nation – come join the party!
Dog Bless Adelaide, Australia!
Governor Hindmarsh 01.08.2017 @ 3:10am
Back in 1836 if I could have, I would have, brought Brewdog to Adelaide in the HMS Buffalo, if there's ever a city or a state that embraces the culture of craft beer its ours - Adelaide South Australia.
PS - No Convicts here lads!
Tina and Mike 31.07.2017 @ 8:56pm
Adelaide. Adelaide, Adelaide. This can be the only place for Brewdog. Dave is right.
DAVE 31.07.2017 @ 6:22am
Stop looking elsewhere guys!!! Adelaide, South Australia is THE place for Brewdog. Great brewing history and the centre of Australia's food and wine tourism industry. You know it makes sense!
Will Prigg 29.07.2017 @ 10:47am
In Newcastle consider the Cameron Park industrial estate, it neighbours Fletcher, west Wallsend, Cameron Park and all of these areas have a huge population vase and are crying out for a decent venue to be able to get a good drop.

Otherwise if you'd rather be closer to the city, Carrington would be your best bet.
Darren Hetherington 28.07.2017 @ 5:03am
Will you be advertising for employees soon. Will positions be on your website

Please consider the Latrobe Valley in Victoria.
Both state and federal governments have been focusing on bringing more investment and innovation to this area due to the fact that for multiple gernerations this region has been held up on the coal and power gerneration industries.
This year one of the major employers in the area Hazlewood power station closed directly effecting hundreds of people and indirectly thousands will experience some form of hardship.
Latrobe Valley but more importantly Morwell would benefit greatly from having a brewery and more importantly a destination for tourism based out of one of the old power stations or briquette factorys which was also recently closed. To utilize some of the old infrastructure would be be so striking and unique.
Please email me further if you would like to discus

Brewdog is just what townsvilles economy is crying out for.
Adam 27.07.2017 @ 10:57am
You should definitely consider Ballarat. We’re located approximately 1hr from Melbourne by road, and have a direct rail link. That’s nothing special, but Ballarat takes its beer seriously.

Ballarat currently has 5 craft breweries, Red Duck, The Athletic Club, Cubby Haus, The Rebellion Brewery and Dollar Bill. For a population of around 100K, that’s pretty good, but there’s more. Just this year, local maverick Broo beer announced that they are preparing to invest in a brand new $100 million macro brewery on the edge of town. We love our beer.

The State Government and local council are right behind beer in Ballarat, with $1.2 million dollars to implement a Craft Beer Centre of Excellence right here in the Victorian Central Highlands (that’s right, we’re highlands, with weather to match Brew Dog’s home…mostly). Ballarat also boasts a University that has one of the only brewing courses in the country, complete with a 600l micro-brewery! Head of Brewing, Dr. Peter Aldred is a world-renowned lecturer of brewing and beer judge. And speaking of judging, Ballarat also hosts Australia’s biggest beer festival, drawing thousands to sample beers from near and far every summer.

If that’s not enough, consider Ballarat’s heritage tourism that brings in tens of thousands of local and international tourists to experience Australia’s cultural heritage at Sovereign Hill. With the resultant tourism there is ample accommodation, bars, pubs and bottle shops focused on showcasing Ballarat as the self-proclaimed Beer centre of Australia. Check out the Coach House, Hop Temple and The Mallow, just a select few of the many retailers.

I’m not associated with any of the businesses listed, nor the council, or government, I just reckon this is a really good place. So if you’re looking to set down roots in Australia, you should look no further.

Cheers & Beers!
Andrew 27.07.2017 @ 10:21am
Yep, Northgate in Brisbane on Toombul rd. large site crying out for something other than heavy industry. Had a chat to local city councillor and he would support also.

Ken whit pal, ye're awfy wise gangin' tae Perth WA. Think o way back when the people o Scotland bombed aff tae Strewya, the rich fowk wid afford tae hop aff at the first stop, and the poor fowk wid haud oan until Brisbane, tae get their smackeroonies' worth.
So surely Perth residents hae a bob or twa tae spend on beer!
Rachel 27.07.2017 @ 6:41am
Definitely Newcastle!

Awesome city, great location with proximity to the Hunter and additional weekend tourists, plus a culture and demographics suited to your market. Definitely the place to be!
Martin 27.07.2017 @ 3:59am
Newcastle is a great shout, with great transport links up and down the coast, and a fast growing population, prices for sites would definitely be less than Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Craft beer scene rocks, and, there's a definite possibility to expand the craft beer and brewing scenes here. There's not a huge amount of brewery supplies stores - bottledog would help to alleviate the pressure on that front. I'd also like to put myself forward as your brewer! :)
Michelle 27.07.2017 @ 3:01am
Newcastle, an absolute must, already established destination visitors from interstate, from the increasing number of Cruise ships and from Sydney to enjoy the Vineyards, Distillery and a few Breweries, it's a great town with a up and coming vibe.
DARYL 27.07.2017 @ 2:37am
You couldn't go wrong with brissy because it's got Hop on brew tours and Brew Vegas but i could put Cairns Esplande in there as well worth a thought.
GRAHAM 27.07.2017 @ 1:30am
It's gotta be Newcastle. Established craft beer culture, plenty of industrial land around Carrington, Wickham and Mayfield and close to major transport routes.
James D 27.07.2017 @ 1:28am
Newcastle for sure! Would be a great fit. Great pub culture and vineyards are close-by (Hunter Valley). Throngs of people enjoy their craft beers in Newcastle. Land is a lot cheaper in Newcastle than Sydney, but it's still driving distance and its a great location for exports nation-wide, close to a port and close to rail freight.
Benny D 27.07.2017 @ 1:22am
Newcastle, for sure. A thriving craft beer culture. Stacks of pubs willing to put beers on. Lots of redevelopment already happening. Close to Sydney but plenty of inner city industrial sites to set up around the harbour like Wickham, Maryville, Carrington, Tighes Hill and Mayfield. A working class town with a thirst for good beer and a perfect fit for BrewDog.
anonymous 26.07.2017 @ 3:22pm
Perth has a great craft beer culture. You could try the Swan Valley (home of wine and beer) or new developments like Coogee (south, developing, on the coast, potential to be a new Mindarie) and Yanchep (north, developing, and you might draw drinkers from the 'English' suburbs of Mindarie (which has a brew pub) and Clarkson nearby). Or there are places like Leederville to explore (closer to the city, food and drink culture thriving, full of young professionals)
Boyd 26.07.2017 @ 3:20pm
Got to agree you should be considering Melbourne. I'm here for the second time in 6 weeks and there is a massive craft beer scene (the hipster brigade are well and truely entrenched here). I've even been able to pick up Cocoa Psycho, Semi-skimmed Occultist and the headliners to remind me of Glasgow.
Scotr 26.07.2017 @ 1:52pm
Newcastle no brainer. The huntervally draws huge tourist numbers every year. There are a large number of craft beer festival's in the hunter. Has had craft brewies here for over a decade. Drinks the largest percentage of craft beer after Melbourne and isnt a capital city. Finally Maitland is the fastest growing rual town in nsw.
Steve 26.07.2017 @ 1:04pm
Some vacant land within the precinct of Armidale Airport in northern NSW. This would be perfect for an operation such as this. 5km from the city centre, an airport that's under it's 2nd stage upgrade, it's on a main Hwy that runs to Brisbane in the north or Sydney down south. Armidale is a major educational, rural & regional city. A boon to the city should this be approved
Andrew 26.07.2017 @ 1:03pm
I recon Newcastle would be great. Carrington, Wickham, Mayfield. Unfortunately a lot of the old industrial sites have already started turning into appartments etc, but I recon there's still lots of potential sites available. So excited to have BrewDog coming down under! Perhaps a celebratory beer release? Heck, I'll even brew one myself!
Nicole 26.07.2017 @ 12:27pm
Northgate, Brisbane! Old industrial area off Toombul Rd and right near major train station- 15mins out from the CBD. Bring this place to life!
Danny C 26.07.2017 @ 11:51am
No beter place to build right now than North Lakes just north of Brisbane . The place is crying out just now for a brewery / brewpub serving some decent beers . It's had huge population growth in recent years and is only going to get bigger .
Brooke 26.07.2017 @ 11:27am
Alexandria Sydney or Newtown.
Jared O'Leary 26.07.2017 @ 11:08am
Nudgee/Banyo in Brisbane Queensland a great thriving area killing for a new big brewer!! We welcome you
Michelle 26.07.2017 @ 11:02am
Northgate, Brisbane- loads of old industrial buildings on Toombul & Melton Road, and Holland St!!

Brizzy. 1 hour from Gold Coast, 1 hour from Sunshine Coast, thriving city, great road network, and sure the QLD government would welcome "brooch loons loons open airms"
Tessa 26.07.2017 @ 10:59am
Open up in the Country!! Be an added tourist attraction in the outback.
I vote somewhere like Wagga Wagga or Orange in NSW.

Wagga is halfway between Sydney and Melbourne and Orange is a few hours from Sydney.
PezDog 26.07.2017 @ 10:58am
I was only looking at your bussness on Monday and thought, why is this not in Australia. As a Newcastle local I think our little town would be a great place to set up base as we punch well above our weight and rent is cheep! Come and many will be waiting to help!
Trent 26.07.2017 @ 10:50am
Brisbane, somewhere on Southbank could be a great option!
Brett Grimm 26.07.2017 @ 10:43am
You would be more then welcome in South Australia...we are looking for a brewer to move into Tonsley to cater for a growing and thriving new innovation hub. University and tertiary education sector, smart tech industries and mixed use development. See link attached https://tonsley.com.au
Great opportunity!
Joslyn 26.07.2017 @ 10:14am
Northern Gold Coast, near/around Helensvale North. Lots of land and big lots, easy to access from the GC and Brisbane. PLUS there is a lot of investment happening in this area because of the Commonwealth Games coming here in 2018 and they are updating the infrastructure, tram lines, etc.
James 26.07.2017 @ 10:00am
Brendale, North Brissy.
Andy Bissenden 26.07.2017 @ 7:25am
It has been suggested allready but Fremantle harbour would be a fantastic location. Easy to export around Australia, real up and coming vibrant area. Craft beer on the rapid increase. You have you own trucks but what about a Brew Ship tap room docked alongside the brewery.
Sarah Richardson 26.07.2017 @ 7:24am
Carrington, Newcastle for sure! They are about to build an international cruise terminal there and there are pubs a plenty to work with ????
Patrick 26.07.2017 @ 7:12am
HOBART! The new tourism capital of Australia and home to more craft breweries per capita than any other state!

Port Macquarie NSW. Check out the rest then come to the best, pack a big bag because you are not going to want to leave in a hurry. Looking for market stability and predictable growth, here are all the stats you will need to commit. http://profile.id.com.au/port-macquarie-hastings/home
Looking forward to the first Aussie Brewdog.
Cheers from the Land Downunder

What about somewhere like the old (and closed) Hopetoun Hotel, in Bourke St Surry Hills. Close to Sydney CBD and the craft beer hot spot of the inner west..
Scott 26.07.2017 @ 3:49am
Newcastle would be perfect for Brewdog! This city loves craft beer and we're close enough to Sydney for the weekenders to drop in.
TOSHY 26.07.2017 @ 3:38am
Camperdown/Marrickville area. There’s enough critical mass of Breweries there already and this would the catalyst for an explosion - a primordial soup of breweries in the region!
Andrew S 26.07.2017 @ 3:36am
There is an empty Masters shed at Coffs Harbour, halfway between Brisvegas and Sydney
Jack 26.07.2017 @ 3:11am
Geelong is a nice place. Close to the surf coast. Success of breweries like Little Creatures (busy every night), White Rabbit and Blackmans Brewery show there is a strong market down there.
BZ 26.07.2017 @ 2:28am
Forget the east. Perth is where you are wanted, and needed!
Karl 26.07.2017 @ 2:18am
I concur with wesley, buy the rocks brewery in alexandria!
Doug 26.07.2017 @ 2:10am
Wollongong. An hour from Sydney where real estate is cheaper for a project this size...
Jojo 26.07.2017 @ 2:08am
Come to Newcastle!!!
Matthew Furniss 26.07.2017 @ 2:05am
The most important ingredient in making quality beer is water and Melbourne has the best quality water in Australia.
Melbourne also has the best craft beer culture.
Land is affordable, the workers are skilled, passionate and hard working.
Close to one of the biggest shipping port in Australia so you can move your beer around Australia easily and cheaply
Fastest growing area of Melbourne is the south eastern area: We also have the best weather for a brewery, it is not to hot down here.
I think you should setup home base in Melbourne then in 5 years build another brewery Newcastle to supply to NSW & QLD. Australia is ready for the change to quality beer. Very exciting new!
anonymous 26.07.2017 @ 2:02am
Around Woollongabba or Stones Corner in Brisbane
* urban renewal
* no other major brew pubs there yet
* lots of industrial like you are looking for
* close to good public transport
* close to a football stadium for game day crowds
Karen 26.07.2017 @ 1:35am
Perth's beautiful Swan Vallley you would fit perfectly into the Cider and Ale Trail

North East Victoria! Ah but we have some of the world's best pure mountain water sources and craft breweries here already. Well. Victoria anyhow its close to everything.
Jason Crawford 26.07.2017 @ 1:01am
Bathurst NSW could be a good shout. Just over the blue mountains from Sydney and has a lot of areas with potential for building a factory. They also are on the route of the Indian Pacific railroad so you could maybe tie in with it and get customers to stop off for a tour and get the beers on the onboard bar.
Dan Marrable 26.07.2017 @ 12:46am
Yea Fremantle outside Perth. W.A. Is going through a renaissance of craft beer right now. ...did I spell that correctly?
Pavalicious 26.07.2017 @ 12:43am

STUART PARR 26.07.2017 @ 12:35am

Emily 26.07.2017 @ 12:16am
I agree without Fremantle which is just south of Perth. Such a good vibe going on which is perfect for Brewdog.
Ciaran 26.07.2017 @ 12:13am
"Buy the Rocks Brewery in Alexandria, Sydney. It's already setup and it's a prime location
This. Absolutely this.

Can't wait for the collaborations. Batch Brewing. Nail. Modus. Feral. Going to be great.
STUART PARR 26.07.2017 @ 12:07am
Wow. Maybe Little Creatures in Freemantle WA would be too much of a rival but north of the river somewhere close to Perth city would be ideal. Take over the Swan brewery maybe close to the river in Kings Park.
Sarge 26.07.2017 @ 12:03am
Jervis Bay. A beautiful pristine part of the south coast. Huskisson is flooded with Sydney tourists every weekend for whale watching and dolphin cruises. Holiday periods are really busy. There is an industrial area just outside the town which would lend itself beautifully to a brewery. There's even space for a bar in town. And we really need a good bar. It would be a gold mine! The shoalhaven council is really active in promoting the area. I'm sure they would be keen to talk!
Andrew 25.07.2017 @ 11:57pm
There is an empty shed at Taree that used to house Masters, is that big enough?
Whiskey 25.07.2017 @ 11:44pm
Melbourne would embrace the Brewdog family Zarah - Blackburn is ready for you.
John 25.07.2017 @ 11:32pm
Newcastle! Good proximity to Sydney, great beer culture, close to the Hunter Valley, and the chillest city in the country. It's a no brainer.
Newcastle is a good mid point from Brisbane and Melbourne too.
Terry 25.07.2017 @ 11:30pm
I would vote for Newcastle as not only is it an established and growing craft beer location but the growing demographics of the area will assist future market development. It is also more affordable for a set-up stage and would support brewpub venue/s. It is also centrally located on the more populated east coast of Australia - so presents good location for distribution and good turnover of visitors. Whilst there have been many shout outs on here regards Perth/Fremantle, which are good craft beer areas, you would be cutting out 90+% of the Australian population by sheer distance alone - nice place WA but a bloody long way away. Melbourne is too saturated, Sydney to congested, Brisbane still finding its feet - so Newcastle would present as the ideal location for all the right reasons - geographically, demographically, financially. I do not live in Newcastle area but see it as the ideal.
Clean Pete Collings 25.07.2017 @ 11:28pm

Newcastle is starting to really pump in the Beer and food scene, Wines of course are only a short drive away in the Hunter, so what not join in on the action in the future

Lads need to come to the gold coast region, Australia's best craft breweries are here and the weather is mint 365 days of the year.
Scroto 25.07.2017 @ 10:31pm
Brisbane would be great, any of the old Masters sites. North Lakes, Morayfield are near me.
Jarrod 25.07.2017 @ 10:31pm
Newscastle is a must. Huge craft beer scene and an amazing growing city!
Natalie Reid 25.07.2017 @ 10:29pm
Not long moved here from Balmedie to Newcastle and love it I think you would fit in good here, the closest off-licence already in stacked with Brewdog and it's selling fast.
Tuffstone 25.07.2017 @ 10:29pm
Come to Brisbane North, lots of commerical land available for construction, quick access to highway for transport of both stock and supplies. Other like minded growth organisation. Ability to build a offsite on the Morten Bay with a sunset view. I also have experience amd connection within the financial and real estate industry, that could help with all aspects in helping setting up in Australia
Martin 25.07.2017 @ 10:25pm

The beautiful Yarra Valley in Victoria is the place to be, and there happens to be a disused sanitarium weetbix factory in Warburton.
The area has a strong food beer and wine scene and is a weekend day trip for melbournians
Lesa 25.07.2017 @ 9:56pm
Why not Ballarat, Victoria. Provincial city with easy access to Melbourne (which is Australias most livable, and fastest growing city) Ballarat is a city with beautiful architecture (Dr Blake Mysteries ABC) a colored, gold rush, history and Sovereign Hill - google it ????. A very supprtive Ballarat City Council who encourage development opportunities ????????????????

Lloyd Quigley 25.07.2017 @ 9:21pm
Well Sydney would be the best place seeing as there's so much work & building going on. Plenty of large industrial sites & warehouses.
Craft beer is popping up all over Sydney, Newtown being the best & from what I've heard they are trying to make Newtown the hub of craft beer in Australia!
So you'd be silly not to come join us here!
Robyn Regan 25.07.2017 @ 9:21pm
Look at the Sunshine Coast. Perfect beer drinking weather and plenty of tourists. Perth does make sense for the Scottish population but the oil industry is no different to the North Sea oil fields. Coolum Beach has a big parcel of land that the council knocked back Bunnings. You guys might be right for it. Your brewery is really beautiful (I used to live in Ellon). Australia won't allow dogs inside but should be ok if you build a beer garden. Good luck and if you go for Coolum, I'd happily move back and would love a job there.
Glenn 25.07.2017 @ 8:53pm
Bendigo....

All the beat parts of the Melbourne Craft Beer and food culture with better weather and cheaper real estate.

Check out Bendigo On The Hop if you are not convinced.
Steve 25.07.2017 @ 8:53pm
Awesome news. As others have said Newcastle has a great craft beer scene, the pubs are full of good beer these days. Brisbane not so much. Newcastle also gives you easy distribution to Sydney. There should be plenty of good sites around. Try up and coming suburbs like carrington, Maryville, tighes hill and mayfield if you can't find anything suitable in town.
Darren 25.07.2017 @ 7:36pm
Another vote for Perth! The whole of Perth and the south west is craft beer heaven. Makes sense and such a cool relaxed vibe!
James 25.07.2017 @ 7:20pm
Sydney of course!
Mike Guild 25.07.2017 @ 7:03pm
Was in Fremantle south of Perth at my sons engagement party last week and couldn't believe they had bottles of my favourite 5AM Saint behind the bar ... got the Aussies on to it right away ????????
Cameron Kidd 25.07.2017 @ 4:04pm
Definitely the Fremantle area here in Western Australia! This place bleeds craft beer!
anonymous 25.07.2017 @ 4:00pm
Perth has the perfect climate...no flooding! And a Scottish army to welcome the Brewdog Clan. Its the most beautiful city in Australia.
Aberdeenshire loon 25.07.2017 @ 3:54pm
Come to Queensland! The weather's much better (beer o'clock every day-please drink responsibly!) and we've been getting the locals hooked on the punk IPA! Easier transport connections to get to from Scotland to for your work related travels (holidays)! You've got the Gold Coast to the South and Sunshine Coast to the North so large population. Even a chipper here that imports Jimmy Buchan's (peterheed loon) fash fae the North Sea! What better way to wash it down!?!
Robert 25.07.2017 @ 3:21pm
The university town of Armidale is home to the Welder's Dog which is one of the best craft beer bars in Australia and is halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. The Armidale Regional Council is setting up a new industrial area near the airport which fronts into the New England Highway, one of the busiest highways in Australia.
Brenton 25.07.2017 @ 2:50pm
Perth, north Fremantle old matilda bay brewery! Stop the Chinese from turning it into apartments and make it a brewery again!!
Paul Escott 25.07.2017 @ 2:39pm
Deception Bay, Caboolture, Brendale areas. Just Norrh of Brisbane. Lots of expat pommes in North Lakes, cheap industrial land available. Please bring some proper beer here. I'm so tired of bloody lagers!
Moonhead 25.07.2017 @ 2:28pm
Melbourne is the craft brew capital of Australia. Home of Good Beer Week and GABS. You want to be in Australia, you want to be in Melbourne.
anonymous 25.07.2017 @ 2:14pm
Wollongong might be a great location with a mix of demographic, industrial estates being regenerated and the southern gateway into Sydney.... + Wollongong University pride themselves on their beer drinking prowess !
Chris 25.07.2017 @ 1:54pm
Please come to Newcastle! We have a strong craft beer culture and a perfect location in a regional city that would fit Brewdog's business model perfectly.
Scott the scozzie 25.07.2017 @ 1:43pm
Hey min (mate)

Fit aboot Perth WA. Direct flights to London start next year. The local uni (ECU) has paired up with Aberdeen uni. Oil and gas is prevalent like the silver city and the locals will love ya. Plus it's hotter than the east coast!
Michael 25.07.2017 @ 1:38pm
Another shout out for Perth, at least maybe for a future brewdog pub
Digger 25.07.2017 @ 1:20pm
Yee-hah! Makes me keen to get a wriggle on with our application for residency in NZ. So glad to hear about this. Welcome back Zarah also.
Graham 25.07.2017 @ 1:05pm
Awesome news. Newcastle is great.
Gareth 25.07.2017 @ 12:58pm
Sydney...Alexandria!
Aaron 25.07.2017 @ 12:52pm
Brisbane would be a good choice. Asahi are currently building a massive distribution centre and Bevchain have just completed a 35000 m2 distribution centre too. Also Brisbane is awesome but needs a BrewDog. I've missed you guys so much since moving from the UK
Jake 25.07.2017 @ 12:41pm
Come to South Australia, Port Adelaide would be a good location, plenty of unused industrial old style properties available, there's even a couple of old unused pubs that could be converted to a brewdog bar!
Andy Howard 25.07.2017 @ 12:35pm
Can't tell you how stoked I am to read this. I live in Newcastle and we drink boatloads of BrewDog here. We'd absolutely love to have you.
craftbeerquest 25.07.2017 @ 12:28pm
Build in Caboolture. Open a brew bar and distribute to the country from here. Great access to the highway and airports and you can source council support.
Dean 25.07.2017 @ 12:27pm
Healesville, Victoria!!!
K-Dog 25.07.2017 @ 12:24pm
Got to be Newcastle, driving distance to Sydney but a place going through a re-generation with a great vibe all of its own. I think it suits the Brewdog ethos perfectly.
Pete H 25.07.2017 @ 12:21pm
OMG ! Brewdog down under ...
And welcome back Zarah. Great to see you back again.
Mark Reed 25.07.2017 @ 12:19pm
What about Adelaide? Pirate Life has taken off, would be awesome to have you guys here as well. We have a burgeoning craft beer scene here with plenty of punters to drink your beer.
Mick 25.07.2017 @ 12:17pm
Choose Perth.. it's a much better scene. Tons of good locations.
Travis 25.07.2017 @ 12:17pm
The old Holden Factory here in Adelaide! That place is huge! Not sure what you'd need to do but we definitely need an economy boost here as well as help with unemployment.
Sandra 25.07.2017 @ 12:16pm
I think Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand would be a far better location for a Brewdog openimg down under. We've got a good growth of hops and appreciate beer better than the ozzies. Also, I love Elvis Juice.
George 25.07.2017 @ 12:15pm
Nelson on the East Island is the place to be, home of Sauvin, Riwaka, Motueka, Rakau, Wai-iti..........
Wesley Johnson 25.07.2017 @ 12:15pm
Buy the Rocks Brewery in Alexandria, Sydney. It's already setup and it's a prime location
Dave H 25.07.2017 @ 12:09pm
Any chance we get EFP Australia out of this? Would be cool to become a TripleDog :D
Shane J 25.07.2017 @ 12:05pm
Canberra is perfectly located between Sydney and Melbourne. Ideal location
Ben Heaton 25.07.2017 @ 12:02pm
Build in Newcastle hire Darrin Brooks!
Lisa 25.07.2017 @ 12:01pm
You have to come to victoria! Brew capital of Australia... although ph levels are more for dark beers here. But come to the Moorabbin area! Please?
Angus 25.07.2017 @ 11:59am
Melbourne would be the wise choice of location.
Rowan 25.07.2017 @ 11:59am
Newcastle / Hunter Valley would be the smart choice. We already have the vineyards here plus a vibrant pub culture and many suitable vacant blocks and existing premises. Plus its close to the central coast and sydney for distribution
Christian 25.07.2017 @ 11:53am
Well have you visited many breweries in QLD? Most people struggle with the concept of craft; where as in Vic and NSW it's quite established...but then you like a challenge eh?
Alex 25.07.2017 @ 11:43am
Come to Perth! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz!!!
Terry_TT 25.07.2017 @ 11:16am
This is a giant move but if it means the beer in the southern hemisphere tastes even better then it all sounds good to me
GregA 25.07.2017 @ 9:40am
Welcome back Zarah! Good to see you returning to the Brewdog family :)
Mark 25.07.2017 @ 9:33am
Woah (or strewth I guess). Raising the game there.
